$I"This book is undoubtedly the definitive text on the subject of husbandry, medicine, diseases , and surgery of reptiles.  It brings together a vast amount of information in one comprehensive source.  It is a high-quality book that will be a great addition to the library of veterinarians and herpetologists working in this field."$I  James W. Carpenter, M.S., DVM, Kansas State University, $IJournal of Zoo and Wildlife Medicine$I 23 (1):140, 1992

$I"Even with the large leaps in knowledge that has occurred since the publication of this set in 1991, the quality and care to detail still make this a useful work for the private practice veterinarian, the specialty veterinarian, or the vet working in a zoological setting.  Dr. Frye blazed a path for many veterinarians to follow and most importantly build upon.  I commend Krieger Publishing for keeping the price of this set at a level that more people can afford.  The terrific value of this work will continue for quite awhile."$I--Thane Johnson, $ILibrary News for Zoos and Aquariums$I, June 2003
