"The authors' experiences are an excellent source of information, and they have conveyed this in easily understandable text that is not bogged down with medical jargon or minute details.  Furthermore, there is an abundance of well-photographed images to complement each chapter…a great resource for anyone interested in owning swans and I would recommend it." -- Gwen Flinchum, DVM, Exotic DVM Veterinary Magazine, Volume 5.5, November 2003

"…a good reference book for a waterfowl library because it easily lends itself to the quick reference for clarification or anecdote." -- Sheila Burrows, Audubon Nature Institute, Animal Keepers' Forum, Vol. 31, No. 3, January 2004
