In this book electrodynamics,
thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics are integrated to yield a unified treatment of the foundations of magnetofluidmechanics, so important in the study of magnetohydrodynamics, plasma physics, and astrophysics. The first six chapters are devoted to explaining fundamental principles. Throughout the book the role of the electrodynamics of moving media is emphasized because it is the least understood and often the most important aspect of magnetofluidmechanics. |
