As a research civil engineer for the Army
Corps of Engineers, the author has developed and used numerous methods presented in this book for determining the internal functioning of water distribution systems. He has taught courses for Mississippi State University as well as numerous training courses for the Corps of Engineers. This book has evolved from these courses and the need the author perceived for a text that would combine the fundamentals of hydraulics with real world applications. This is a basic reference book for water
distribution engineers and operators. It covers basic hydraulics, pipe sizing, computer modeling, pipe replacement and rehabilitation, and system testing. |
