grant received from the National Endowment for the Humanities, awarded to the University of Texas at El Paso in 1981. This book consists of essays by most of the individuals who have been involved in some kind of Chicano research. It should be of use in sociolinguistics, and the speech of minority groups in general. It goes without saying that it should have special appeal to Hispanicists and teachers of Hispanics. |
